Halloween How-To: 5 Tricks for a Hell Raising Halloween!

Halloween is on the horizon and we couldn’t be happier about it! Here, we break down five easy steps for a Halloween fit to wake the devil! Boo! 👻

Frodeli Halloween How To October Blog

1. A Listers

First thing’s first, you’ll need some guests. Why not send out invites in the mail – we love being pleasantly surprised when our post drops through the letterbox and your guests will really appreciate the extra effort you’ve gone to. Let’s face it, it’s way better than a text! Invites help set the tone of your party, so for Halloween, we recommend opting for pumpkin, tombstone or skeleton designs. If you’re feeling crafty, why not go one step further and create your own?

2. Dress Up!

Next up, you’ll need to create some Halloween ambience to welcome your guests. We like to keep it grown up with a table centrepiece that showcases pumpkins and squash in a mixture of colours. We love white, orange and green for a touch of sophistication. Napkins and a table runner in complimenting shades are a great idea if you want your table to look a little more dressed up!

3. Strike A Pose

As an extra surprise for your guests, who doesn’t love a photobooth?! At Frodeli, we’re all about creating memories, not just desserts, so create your very own selfie station with props and a camera. For a blast from the past, why not use a polaroid or disposable camera?! Polaroids are great for putting in an album which you can look back on and your guests can leave with a sweet memento from your party. It also means you don’t have to entertain your visitors too much – this will ensure your guests entertain themselves!

4. Dress Your Dessert To Kill

No dinner party would be complete without the grand finale… the dessert! For Halloween, it simply has to be Sympathy For The Devil. If the devil can’t get a bit of sympathy at Halloween, when can he? This luxurious pudding is a devilishly delicious red velvet cheesecake with a lighter than air sponge base. It arrives perfectly packaged with a rich and tangy raspberry coulis and mint leaves for the finishing touch; the devil is in the detail, after all! Why not get your guests involved in the garnish process by having them decorate their own? You could even throw in a prize for the best dressed dessert and turn it into a cake costume party!

5. Play Time

Once you’re through with dinner, a nostalgic game is a good way to make sure you and your guests don’t fall into that post-dinner slump – it’s so easily done when surrounded by good food, great company and amazing desserts! Classic party games such as pin the tail on the donkey can be reinvented into pin the tail on the black cat or why not offer your guests an evening quiz to keep things lively? No calling out though!

We hope you’ve enjoyed our tricks and treats for a scarily good spooky season. Now all there’s left to is order your desserts and plan your guestlist. Where Halloween and Frodeli are concerned, we’re no trick, all treat! 🎃
